Insomnia

At Jumelle Health, we specialize in helping children, adolescents, and adults manage insomnia. We understand that sleep is a cornerstone of physical and mental health. If you’re struggling with insomnia, we’re here to help you identify the root causes and develop a personalized treatment plan to restore restful sleep.

Understanding Insomnia

Insomnia is a sleep disorder characterized by difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking up too early and being unable to go back to sleep. It can lead to daytime fatigue, irritability, difficulty concentrating, and a negative impact on overall well-being. Insomnia may be short-term (acute) or long-term (chronic), often caused by stress, lifestyle factors, or underlying health conditions.

    Diagnostic Appointment

    What to Expect

Our process for addressing insomnia begins with a comprehensive diagnostic appointment. During this session, you’ll meet with one of our providers who will:
     * Discuss Your Sleep Patterns: We’ll explore your sleep history, routines, and any challenges you’re facing.
    * Evaluate Contributing Factors: This includes reviewing your medical history, lifestyle habits, mental health, and stressors.
    * Perform Assessments: If necessary, we may recommend completing sleep diaries, screening for sleep disorders, or referring you for sleep studies (conducted externally) to gain further insights.
